Summer Sounds at Skansie will welcome the award-winning band from United by Music North America for two special opening performances. The group will take the stage at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, during National Night Out and Tuesday, August 25, for the Summer Sounds season finale.

United by Music North America is a Gig Harbor-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that uses the power of music to mentor and provide performance opportunities for neurodivergent and differently-abled individuals. Through mentorship and live performances, the organization supports exceptional musical talent while helping performers build confidence on stage.

“We are excited to welcome United by Music North America to Summer Sounds,” said Rosalyn Rochac-Finnegan, Tourism Director for Visit Gig Harbor. “Summer Sounds is about bringing our community together through music, and these performances are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate local talent and create a stage where every performer can shine.”

United by Music America is honored to be invited to present the opening music for the 2027 series of featured Summer Sounds concerts. The August 4 performance will open for The Mixed Tape as part of Gig Harbor’s National Night Out celebration. United by Music North America will return on August 25 to open for Non Jovi and help close the Summer Sounds season.

Both opening performances begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by the featured Summer Sounds band from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Skansie Brothers Park, 3211 Harborview Drive in downtown Gig Harbor. Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket.

Summer Sounds at Skansie is hosted by the City of Gig Harbor in partnership with Visit Gig Harbor and the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce.
